How to increase online sales of a product associated with traditional shops but at the same time, strengthen a brand image? We know answers to these questions but let’s start from the beginning.
The sales of bikes in postpandemic times increased and what came along was an opportunity to develop that sector of trade online. The website that had been up so far needed a little refreshing and a modern design. This came together with updating the interface and UX in order reach a wider target audience.

Realization process

Everyone deserves a good bike

First of all, we focused on UX aspects. The website was supposed to ensure fast and simple access to the basic offer of bikes and scooters. On the main page, we dedicated a space with promoted products and novelties. Because the purpose of bikes these days have become quite precise, below we placed a fast access to product categories where a customer can choose between MTBs, city or mountain bikes, and bikes for kids.
The next space was for a clear product list with a filter option and exhibition of available variations of a given product. Moving forward to a product card – here, we have an equipment list, description and high quality product images. Browsing the page or finding a particular bike or scooter was simplified as much as possible so that everyone can now find their way around the website. The store was also expanded with a helping content, including extra articles, handbooks and manuals – everything that can be of interest for a potential cyclist and also… a SEO specialist.

Solution and implementation

Synergy has a meaning

The biggest challenge of this project was to prepare a mechanism that would allow products to be updated automatically. Product names, images, descriptions, specifications, instructions – all of those are already producer’s PIM. What our client wanted was to bring those ready-made contents onto Indiana new website. We like smart solutions, so do our clients.
Our solution’s main task is to update and add a product the moment it is activated in PIM system; same goes for deleting them. Thanks to this, the amount of work for Indiana website was limited to a necessary minimum only and the client can focus on other activities such as product promotion. It is also worth noticing that the website is SEO-prepared.
