RADEX Poland Sp. z o.o. is one of the leading door manufacturers in Poland and the owner of three private brands, including OKDoors.

The company began its operations in 1986 in Iława, and through effective management and continuous investments, it has gained a significant position in the European door joinery market. Currently, its products are available in major DIY retail chains in Poland, such as Leroy Merlin, Obi, Castorama, Bricomarche, PSB Mrówka, as well as many other renowned retail networks across Europe.

Radex specializes in the production of versatile door systems that seamlessly combine functionality with elegant style. The wide range of configurations allows for product customization to meet diverse needs.

Need

Radex, a company that values the high quality and unique design of its products, approached us with a specific need arising from their extensive product range. The goal was to translate the company's core values into the digital realm by creating a modern configurator and e-commerce platform for the OKDoors brand, compatible with the company's existing processes and tools.

This ambitious task aimed not only to streamline the sales process but, more importantly, to develop a solution that would allow customers to fully appreciate and take advantage of the extensive customization options offered by Radex.

Challenge

The key functional challenge was to create an advanced configuration system enabling comprehensive personalization of a variety of door models.

The integral parts of this task included:
- A dynamic visualization generator that would display the current appearance of the configured product in real-time,

- The development of a precise and flexible pricing system — the complexity of this task stemmed from the vast diversity of available options, and the pricing system had to account for every possible configuration change, where each element was priced separately,

- An exclusion system that managed the availability of configuration options based on previously made selections.

Solution

For the OKDoors brand, we created an advanced e-commerce ecosystem, with the innovative product configurator at its core. Our solution integrated several key elements:

  1. Multi-step door configurator: This tool allows customers to comprehensively personalize their choices, guiding them through an intuitive process—from the base model, system, and width, to details such as colors, glazing, and hardware.
  2. Real-time interactive visualization: Every configuration change is instantly reflected in the displayed door model, giving customers a complete view of the final product.
  3. Precise pricing system: Utilizing advanced algorithms, the system quickly recalculates the price with every modification, taking into account the complex dependencies between components and their impact on the final cost.
  4. Intelligent exclusion mechanism: This feature ensures that customers can only create feasible configurations. The system dynamically adjusts the available options, eliminating the risk of ordering an unachievable product.
  5. Online-offline integration: We implemented features that connect the company's real-world operations with the e-commerce platform, ensuring process consistency such as:
  • Online product catalog – available for both sales representatives and end customers, allowing them to explore the product range before visiting a showroom, which leads to more informed purchasing decisions and more efficient consultations with sales staff.
  • Certificates and declarations of performance – making these documents available online builds customer trust and facilitates the work of sales representatives, who can quickly reference official specifications during sales discussions.
  • Installation instructions – having these accessible on the website supports both DIY customers and professional installers, reducing the number of inquiries to the customer service department and minimizing potential complaints related to incorrect installation.
  • "Where to Buy" section – directs online traffic to physical retail locations, increasing conversion rates and supporting OKDoors' local partners.
  • Product configurator accessible from the menu – this tool serves not only individual customers but is also a valuable resource for sales representatives. They can use the configurator during client meetings, speeding up the sales process and ensuring greater accuracy in orders.
